Lost
Memories
By Matthew Jacob
Hi. I’m Zephyr. I know, it might be unconventional for me to talk to you, especially since I’m not human like you. This is my story.
It’s not unusual to lose your memory, especially if you fall from the sky after the wind spirits make a vacuum. The drop in oxygen just makes you black out, and makes you feel as if you aren’t in control of your body anymore. It’s like a dream, just no recollection of what happened. Blackness consumes you. If you had no memory after you woke up from a nap, would you be confused? I certainly was. I was asking around, looking for anyone I knew, but my life was a blank slate. I only remembered one thing.
My best friend’s name, Emerald. Emerald is a, well, emerald green dragon. It’s a big world out there, especially if you can't even remember your family. I talked to people around, and they said he went to visit Dr. M He was there for a seasonal visit to talk with him, apparently. I talked to my family (who I couldn’t remember) and they said to also visit Dr. Aurum or Dr. A for short.
“Go visit him,” they said. It will help you remember, they said. But what they didn’t say is that he lived up over an ACTIVE VOLCANO, STILL SPEWING FLAMES AND ASH FROM THE LAST ERUPTION 5 YEARS AGO!! I went, after a lot of self-reflection and of life contemplating, I went. He fixed my memory! But after a while, I wanted revenge. I went back for those wind spirits. Apparently, they weren’t so bright. They seemed like a troublemaking group, so I just split them up and sent them flying more than they already do. Now, all I had to do was find Emerald.
According to Dr. A, he had headed East towards his brother, who was a psychologist named Dr. N. I headed east, only to scuffle with some other dragons who thought that I was stealing their fruit. As I approached Dr. N’s house, I collided with someone flying! We soon talked about our life stories and funny moments, and I told him that I met his fruit-obsessed brothers. I soon went back home after visiting. I learned that Emerald was at home, in his house, while the dragon I collided with was Jade. I went home, and started to regain all of my memories as if they were pictures being pasted into a scrapbook.
They threw a celebratory party for me, and I regained the memories of all of my friendships I had made. I also got to see Emerald!
So, that’s my story! Thank you for listening, and good-bye!
The End
The Missing Airpod by Jessica Sebastian
Suddenly Ash had lost her friend's airpod. With the breeze dancing around Ash, they waited for the bus. Students after a terribly long school day, wandered and chatted. Ash walked up to the front of the sidewalk, the sun shining in her eyes. She blocked the sun with her arm, her friend, Lily, jumped up to her and smiled. They say the bus entering the school was different from the others so they were easy to spot. They waited until the bus, braked and stopped.
Ash walked over and lined up to get in the bus first. Ash and Lily waited for the bus driver to open the door, as soon as the door opened, Ash jolted in.
They reached seat number 9, Ash getting the window seat, as usual. Lily took her brother's airpods out, which her brother let her borrow.
Lily took her airpods out of her case, then placed the right one in her ear and the other in Ash's left ear. Feeling uncomfortable she changed the side her airpod was, dropping it.
" I dropped it." yelped Ash
They frantically pulled their stuff out of their seats , searching for the missing airpod. Ash stood up on the seat. Surprised, the bus driver boomed " What are you doing."
Nervously Ash stated " I lost her airpod."
"You lost WHAT?"
"I LOST HER AIRPOD." Ash said pointing to Lily.
The bus driver kneeled down and searched the floor with no sign, Lily was in the corner trying to find it, nervous of how much trouble she would be in. The bus started moving, now those two didn't have a chance to figure out where the little naughty airpod flew to.
"Ash, what's that in your shirt?" asked Emily the girl that sat at seat number ten Ash looked down, oblivious of what was happening.
She saw a small white airpod, the exact same one she lost, laughter filled the bus and embarrassment filled Ash.
THE END.
