The assignments for this class work toward helping us answer, or struggle to answer, some of the more important questions of our age. Do yourself a favor and spend some time really thinking about how these questions are meaningful to you, your family, your community, and your nation. You may not totally believe this now, but high school is a magic time where you get to have brand new thoughts. Try it. I dare you.
This assignment is designed to help you become a more proficient writer and student. To begin working toward that goal, this assignment has two major parts.Â
This assignment is worth 16 points.
An opportunity to stretch and strengthen your writing muscles.
This assignment is worth 12 points.
An opportunity to define, explore, explain, and complicate the word freedom.
This assignment is worth 60 points.
Resources for the novels and films we are watching this semester. The final exam is based off of these materials.

This is a formal written response to a prompt. The exam will take place in class on the last two days of the semester.
