There are many different applications that are available for taking notes on the iPad. Two of the most popular apps are Google Docs and Notability.
Google docs:
- Google Docs is available as an app as well as via web browser.
- Google Docs syncs with Google Drive. This allows students the ability to access their documents from multiple devices.
- All students in District 214 have a Gmail account and therefore have access to all of Google's apps as well unlimited storage space to organize all of their documents.
- Google Docs is a word processing application that allows students to create and edit documents.
- Google Docs also allows students to collaborate with other students on the same document.
Notability:
- Notability is a paid app that all students and teachers receive included with their iPad.
- Notability is an app that is an app that is very popular with teachers for its ease of use and its ability to annotate PDFs.
- Students can type notes or hand write notes.
- Notability syncs with Google drive so that documents can be backed up and accessed from other devices.
- This app allows for organization of notes with color, pictures, and voice.
