Email Organization
Email is one of the main methods of contact from college to prospective student. It is VERY important that you check your email regularly (at least once per day is suggested).
Create a new email just for your college stuff:
You will find that colleges send emails frequently and some of them include very important information. To keep track, you may want to create a new email address (you can get a free one through Google) only for the college application process. Name it something like "john.doe.college@ gmail.com" and then you can delete it when you are in college.
Within your email account, consider creating labels or folders for each school so it is easier to keep track of important information.
