Apply to Harper College

STEP 1: Apply online at harpercollege.edu/apply

  • Contact your counselor or postsecondary counselor to get this month’s promo code to apply for free

  • Seniors that are taking/have taken a dual credit course with Harper now need to complete the Harper application but will indicate they are a "Returning Student". CLICK HERE for full instructions.

  • Harper Promise-eligible seniors should see the section below: Harper Promise: Steps for Seniors to Remain Eligible.

STEP 2: Submit your transcripts through Parchment

  • For instructions, see the "Parchment Instructions" section of the transcript page.

STEP 3: Submit your test scores to processing@harpercollege.edu

  • Download your score report from your College Board (SAT) or ACT Student login and attach in an email to processing@harpercollege.edu

  • If you listed Harper College as a recipient when you registered for the ACT or SAT, you can skip this step

STEP 4: Follow Harper College's Steps to Enroll

  • Once your application is reviewed, you will be emailed a login for your MyHarper portal.

  • Follow Harper College's STEPS TO ENROLL for next steps that pertain to you.

    • Examples:

      • MyHarper portal login

      • Admissions meetings

      • Financial aid and scholarships

      • Placement testing

      • Orientation

      • Academic Advising

      • Course Registration

Harper Promise: Steps for Seniors to Remain Eligible

In addition to the other Harper Promise requirements (attendance, rigor/quality and persistence), the following must be completed as detailed on this checklist:

  • Submit the Recommitment

  • Apply to Harper by November 15: Use the application fee waiver code emailed to you to waive the $25 application fee when you apply. Seniors that are taking/have taken a dual credit course with Harper now need to complete the Harper application but will indicate they are a "Returning Student". CLICK HERE for full instructions.

  • Submit your FAFSA between October 1 and February 15, 2022 and include Harper on your college list in the FAFSA.

  • Community Service Hours: A total of 20 hours senior year are required and should be entered using Transeo before May 2022.

  • Send Transcript after 1st semester: Request through Parchment that your transcript is sent to Harper (optional but highly recommended).
