What is Innerview?
Innerview is a website that keeps track of service hours, offers service opportunities, and recognizes all opportunities with a live feed as well as awards!
Why Innerview?
It's an easier way to keep track of your points, and you can qualify for awards for your service!
- Each NHS member must complete a minimum of 8 service points PER SEMESTER. One of these service points must be completed through Buffalo Grove High School - tutoring, ushering, etc.
- You may get up to 7 points per activity. (LIT LAB WILL ONLY COUNT FOR A MAXIMUM OF FOUR POINTS)
- 1 point= MINIMUM 50 minutes (or one period) of work.
- Service points sheets must be signed by an adult, preferably the one(s) associated with your service point activity
- YOU MAY NOT GET PAID IN ANY WAY FOR A SERVICE POINT (this includes but is not limited to money, food, free stuff, etc.)
- Each NHS member must complete at least 2 different types of service points per semester. (Example: If you choose to do Feed My Starving Children, you may use this for 7 of the 8 service points but must complete the other service point with another activity). Stretch your comfort zone - get out there and be of service to your community!
- Up to 4 points may be used for both NHS and another activity (example: Club Interact). At least 4 points must be solely achieved for NHS.
- Current members can now have up to 4 hours of service over the summer count towards NHS
- All points must be submitted through Innerview
Remember, the idea behind service points is to give back! Give back to the school, community, less fortunate, etc. Be a leader, and have some fun while doing it! Stretch yourself and your comfort zone - have fun in the process and learn something new!
