Honors Band Projects

The students were given the opportunity to explore their creativity with an open-ended band project. Through this project, each student created a SMART Goal and made steps toward accomplishing their goal.(All students whose projects are below have agreed to have their projects shared with a wider audience)

Record and Mix Holiday trios

Evan Brown

Create an original arrangement of patriotic music for tenor saxophone - complete with transitions

Ethan Casler

Transpose and record a Dogs of War for Bassoon and Alto Sax. This required mix the parts in Soundtrap.

Abbie Catania (Hannah Earich)

Transpose and arrange music from Avatar the Last Airbender. The Final product is the music accompanied scenes from the movie.

Compose a string quartet. Developed skills with transposition in order to compose this piece.

Created an arrangement of Last Christmas by Wham using acoustic guitar, electric guitar, & saxophone.

Isabella Hagglund

Develop low range on the bari saxophone through learning an etude.

Compose countermelodies to a familiar tune and then record all three parts accompanied by a friend on guitar.

Interview family members about what music means them and collaborate with mom on a trumpet duet.

Holiday Recording Projects
