Pep Band
The Bulldog Pep Band is an all-volunteer group that plays for select home varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball games. Always one of the most spirited activities at Wauconda, the pep band entertains the crowd with many fan-favorite tunes while cheering the Bulldogs onto victory. There is one after school rehearsal after Thanksgiving and most games occur between December and February.
Jazz Bands & Combos
Jazz Bands & Combos
The Jazz Band & Jazz Combos are extra-curricular groups. Information about jazz will come out at the start of the school year. Mr. Dahlke & Mr. Stewart direct the Jazz program.
Jazz Band typically starts in mid to late September.
Musical Pit Orchestra
Musical Pit Orchestra
The pit orchestra, consisting of woodwind, brass, percussion, and rhythm section, provides the instrumental accompaniment for the Fall Musical. Practices will start after school at the end of September and move to the evenings in November. This is a great opportunity for the students to play in a number of different styles and improve their music reading ability levels. Instrumentation for the Pit Orchestra is dependent on the musical each year. Auditions and information regarding necessary instruments for Pit Orchestra are announced in August.
The 2025 musical is "City of Angels" and more information will be available in the Fall.
