D102 uses G Suite for Education, a specially-packaged version of Google's tools that allow school districts to manage student use of the familiar Google tools, including Gmail.
Student Email in D102 is intended for communication with classmates, teachers, and other district staff. Student email accounts are prevented from receiving email from outside senders, with the exception of specific online systems.
Mail app (built into iOS)
Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade use the built-in iOS Mail app. We configure it for each student prior to assigning the iPad. No further setup is needed.
Gmail App
Students in Grades 4 through 8 may use Google's Gmail app.
To sign into your District 102 email account, follow the instructions below:
Launch Gmail and tap "Sign In"
2. One the "Add account" screen, tap "Google"
3. Enter the D102 email address, tap "Next" then enter the password
