Employers look for candidates who have a strong work ethic, can adapt to challenges presented in the workforce, but also have creativity and the ability to think outside the box. Art offers students with an open mind and imagination the possibilities for many types of jobs after graduation.

The Career and Internship Services Program at UMD offers a multitude of helpful things for students. Some things that are offered are help choosing a major, career planning and assessments, tips on finding internships and preparing for job interviews, advice for writing resumes and cover letters, and information on applying to graduate school.
The Center on Education and the Workforce at Georgetown University provides data on the Economic Value of College Majors.
This source allows users to view 137 majors. The website organizes the majors by state, gives the average earnings, provides other resources on earning a Bachelor's degree, and offers advice on choosing a major.
