Winter Trip

Our 2027 winter trip will be at Rainbow Resort in Waubun, MN. This is an optional trip that does not affect your MCSA standing in any way but is super fun and we encourage both competing and noncompeting skiers to come. It costs $120 (may reduce if we don't need to drive two vans)

We are expecting most people to carpool or drive themselves since its much shorter to drive straight to Waubun from the cities than to go to Duluth first, however, if people want we can also take a van from Duluth.

We will be at Rainbow January 5th-8th. You aren't required to stay all three nights but the fee will not change depending on the number of nights you're there. 

We will spend most of our time skiing at Rainbow but we're also planning on an optional day trip to Maplelag Resort in Callaway, MN. If you go to Maplelag you'll need to buy a pass there.

We also plan to do a time trial, likely about 15km. The time trial is just for fun but it's a good opportunity to try a low stakes long race if you don't have experience over 5k.

We will do family style meals, with team members taking turns cooking and cleaning up. The cost of the food is covered in the winter trip fee. 

Also expect to have a campfire, play games, ice skate, and possibly ice fish. If you don't have skates Rainbow has some and you don't need to bring ice fishing gear.
