What inspired you to undertake this project? Were there any books, artworks, individuals, or events that influenced your direction? I really like reading rock magazines; I loved the covers of each of them so why not create my own? I was looking at different rock magazines for references. Magazines like Classic Rock, Rock Candy, and Hair Metal.
What was the primary objectives you wanted to achieve with this project? I wanted to make my project look clean and original, so I did tons of research on different rock magazines. Their layout, colors, etc. It was challenging but overall, pretty fun I will totally do this project again if I had to.
What were the central creative themes you focused on in your project? My magazine's theme was music mainly rock music because I myself love rock. I wanted to make my own rock cover, so I used Classic Rock as an example.
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently in your project? Why or why not? Looking back at the project, I would have done a different color scheme. I had a really hard time choosing what color would fit the font and the cover itself but I'm still happy with how it turned out!
Did you seek feedback during the development of your project? How did this influence the final outcome? My art teacher gave me feedback on my magazine, she recommended that I should line up the words properly, so it doesn't look off. It definitely helped; it looked so much better!
PS: Me and my sister are the ones on the magazine with the guitars. She plays guitar and I play Bass! :D
The Killer Klown I designed stands out the most because it is the main image. The movement in my work was the Klown waving its hand back and forth. My board had bright colors compared to other boards. My board doesn't have to be chosen necessarily but it is unique in its way since it is inspired by Killer Klowns from Outer Space. My work is mostly a Klown-themed board, they are usually silly so that is why I put the "HA! HA! HA!" around it.
How does your cereal box design effectively communicate your brand's identity and appeal to your target audience? My cereal box design communicates its identity/appeal to my targeted audience because its suitable for all ages.
What design elements (color, typography, imagery, layout) did you choose and why? My cereal box has different colors like pink, red, white. The main color was red and pink so it would stand out.
How do they enhance the overall look and message of the product? It makes the cereal box stand out so it can catch the audience's attention. The message helps the audience connect to the brand, so they'll like it.
If you could redesign one part of your cereal box, what would it be and what changes would you make to improve it? If I could redesign my cereal box I'd try and use different colors. They really bothered me a lot and I changed them constantly especially the background. I would add more mini drawings, so it won't be so empty.
What elements of your life did you choose to highlight in your poster, and why did you feel they were important?
My movie poster referred to music, rock specifically, because it's my favorite music genre. I felt it was important because it described me as a person who enjoys music. I did it with my friend Isabella since we enjoy playing similar music and playing instruments.
How did you use visual elements (like color, imagery, typography, and layout) to express the mood or message of your life story?
I wanted to make my movie poster look old-school, to give it an 80s/90s look. So, I made it black and white, I found it nice, I like black and white posters.
What genre did you choose for your poster (e.g., drama, comedy, action, documentary), and how did that genre help you represent your life?
The genre that I chose for my poster was mystery/music. It represented my life because it's filled with lots of unexpected surprises. I chose music too because I love music.
What was the most challenging part of designing a poster based on yourself, and how did you work through it?
The most challenging of designing the poster was the main image that I was going to use. My friend and I took a lot of photos, and it was hard to figure out what poses we wanted or how we wanted them to look.
Looking back on your design process, what would you change or improve, and what are you most proud of?
The only thing that I would improve is trying to get more people in the poster with guitars or basses. It would have been cool if we had brought some amps for the background. I'm most proud of the outcome of the poster, I'm pretty satisfied with it.

The most challenging part of creating my client's logo was making sure that was similar to the client's request, I had to make sure that the logo was simple and not aggressive.
