Graduation will be June 8th or 9th, 2021. You will have three options. See below for a description of each. Decisions made when staff called parents / guardians in April are final and cannot be changed.
Graduation practices will be either June 7th at 11:00 am (Group 1) or June 8th at 11:00 am (Group 2). Caps and gowns will be distributed at graduation practices or at Senior Breakfast on June 4th at 10:00 am (for those participating in the Car Parade). Tickets for in-person graduation (limit 3) will be disbursed when students receive their cap and gown after each rehearsal. *Please see below for a NOTE on decorating caps.
As many family members as can safely and legally fit in your car may join you for a fun filled parade. This will take place June 8th starting at 6:00 pm.
Limited to three tickets per family. Socially distanced in the stadium. The ceremonies will be June 9th at either 1:00 pm (Group 1) or 4:00 pm (Group 2).
You do not wish to participate in the Lawndale Class of 2021 graduation.
If you ordered a cap and gown (paid by the district), it will be distributed at graduation practice. Graduation rehearsals will be on June 7th (Group 1) & June 8th (Group 2) @ 11am.
If you did not order a cap and gown we will do our best to find a suitable option for you.
This year, you will be allowed to decorate your caps!
No more than 2" tall
Must be free of profanity or offensive imagery or language (in any language)
Must demonstrates ROCKS
If your cap does not follow the guidelines, you trade your decorated cap for a gently used cap to wear if you still wish to participate in the ceremony.
*NOTE: If you want to get a head start on decorating your cap before your pick up date, the caps are a 9.5" x 9.5" square with a hole in the center for the tassel. Decorating on card stock will allow you to finish your design in plenty of time and just slide it on to attach it when you receive your cap and gown.
