Rizal was dedicated to his studies and wants, which made him have an adventure in different countries around the world. In which he does not only study but also enhances his skills in medicine and also gets the chance to know the culture of the place he has been. Moreover, he always had a goal in every country he went to, unlike those people who just want to travel without aiming for something. Therefore, Rizal can really be considered an adventurer.
He was about to finish his medical course in Barcelona, Spain.
He wanted to make a name for himself in the field of journalism.
He wrote an essay with the title El Amor Patrio or Love of Country with a screen name Laong Laan on June, 1882.
Rizal was enrolled at the Universidad Central de Madrid on November 3, 1882.

He became connected with Professor Ferdinand Blumentritt,the director of Ateneo of Leitmeritz, Austria then on July 31,1886 by exchanging of letters.
He aimed to complete and publish the novel, Noli Me Tangere.
His brother Paciano failed to send his allowance due to the crop failure, therefore he sold his books to provide a food for himself and pawn the diamond ring that Saturnina has given to him.
He got depressed and had a planned to burn the manuscript of Noli Me Tangere, however still published it in Berlin on March 21, 1887.

Rizal contributed 2 articles in the Asian Studies JournalTrubner’s Record on May 1889: Specimens of Tagal Folklore & Two Eastern Fables.
He continued writing his articles for La Solidaridad in Belgium.
He made a poem entitled “A Mi Musa” (To My Muse) to address his feelings towards the Dominican management after knowing what happened to his family in the Philippines.
