Sally Stevens

Hi! June, 2023

My name is Sally Stevens (students call me Sally or Ms Sally) and I’m excited to welcome your child to our first grade classroom. 

I’ve been teaching since 1990.  The first four years were in a tiny elementary school in Fayston Vermont near the Mad River Valley.  The next 12 years I taught a multi-age (third-fourth-fifth grade) class right here in Shelburne Community School followed by the next 16 years teaching first and second grade.  It’s been an incredible journey and I have learned a lot. 

I live in South Burlington with my husband.  We have two adult sons who also live in Vermont. Family time is so special, I’m grateful they both came back home to Vermont.

When I am not teaching I like to read, paint, exercise and explore this beautiful place.  I got a new bike this past spring and I’m looking forward to pedaling the back roads of Vermont with my friends and family.
