Meet the Staff

These are the staff officers of the Titan Battalion JROTC program. The staff officers are the main administration of the organization. They plan events, fundraisers, service learning projects and daily functions of the Battalion.

History of the Titan JROTC Program

The Titan Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program was established at University High School in 2019 for the 2019-2020 school year. Our program is overseen by Senior Army Instructor Lieutenant Colonel Bialozor and Army Instructor First Sergeant Salas. Under their supervision the Titan Battalion has been going strong since its start.

The first JROTC program was established at Leavenworth High School under the National Defense Act of 1916. In 1964 Congress extended the program to all military services. Each military service was required to have a JROTC program to "instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, and personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment." (Title 10 United States Code, section 2031). JROTC's mission, "To Motivate young People to be Better Citizens", is the guide post for the program's success.

The U.S. Army's JROTC is present in over 1,700 public and private high schools, military institutions, and correctional centers throughout the United States and overseas.
