Chile is a rather young country, just like most countries in Latin America.  It is located just where the Nazca and the Southamerican tectonic plates crash.  This land is scattered with mountains, lakes, deserts, glaciers and valleys.  Our national character was molded by the mix of European and Native culture, earthquakes, tsunamis  and volcanic activity.
