Jamestown Community College partners with area high schools to offer college credit to high school students during a traditional school day.  These courses are taught by approved high school teachers by both Cassadaga Valley Central School and Jamestown Community College.  These courses allow a student to obtain high school course credit as well as JCC college credit.  Listed below are some key facts about the College Connections courses offered here at Cassadaga Valley:

*Students choose course offerings with Mrs. Torrey during a regular scheduling appointment.

*Students must meet the criteria to take College Connections courses. 

*Courses taught include:  

    ART 1510:  Drawing 1 (3 credit hours)

    ART 1590:  Ceramics 1 (3 credit hours)

    ART 1670:  Intro to Digital Photography (3 credit hours)

    ART 1730:  Intro to Computer Art/Design (3 credit hours)

    BIO 1570:  Principles of Biology (4 credit hours)

    BIO 1520, 1540, 1560, 1515:  Biology of Birds,   Mammals, Insects & Herpetology (4 credit hours)

    CMM 1610:  Public Speaking (3 credit hours)

    EDU 1510:  Foundations of Education (3 credit hours)

    ENG 1510:  English Composition 1 (3 credit hours)

    ENG 1530:  English Composition 2 (3 credit hours)

    ENG 1540:  Writing About Literature (3 credit hours) 

    HIS 1530:  US History 1 (3 credit hours)

    HIS 1540:  US History 2 (3 credit hours)

    LDR 1300:  Leadership Engagement (3 credit hours)

    LDR 1660:  Leadership Development (3 credit hours)

    MAT 1500:  Problem Solving with Math (3 credit hours)

    MAT 1540:  Elementary Statistics (3 credit hours)

    MUS 1510:  Music Appreciation (3 credit hours)

    MUS 1570:  Music Theory (3 credit hours)

    SPA 2510:  Intermediate Spanish 1 (3 credit hours)

    SPA 2520:  Intermediate Spanish 2 (3 credit hours)

*College course credit is offered at NO CHARGE to the student or family.
