• Circuitry and Wiring

  • Connection to the problem: the circuit with all of the components is what will allow the bike to function as an electric bike, so the circuit must work

• Machining

  • Connection to the problem: materials like wood and steel must be machined in order to fit the parts onto the bike such as the motor, batteries, and switch.

Expert input

Mr. Rees, the automotive teacher at CVHS, gave us suggestions on how we should construct the mounting system for the batteries, which we incorporated into the design. He also gave us tips on the circuit configuration, which we also incorporated into our design.

Mrs. Porter, the engineering teacher at CVHS, gave our team feedback and suggestions on how we could improve our design.
