Distance Learning

Distance Learning at CVHS

Through our Distance Learning plan, instructional time will be divided between synchronous (live) sessions on Zoom/ Google Meet and asynchronous instruction delivered primarily through Google Classroom. 90 minutes of synchronous sessions are matched by ~110 minutes of asynchronous activities, amounting to 200 minutes of instructional time per week (40 min/day) for each class.

Trojan Time and Office Hours allow us to further support student learning in more individualized formats.

CVHS teachers will use Google Classroom to publish course content and required assignments. Click here for links to teachers' email and website addresses.

Teachers will also hold video conferences for class discussion or lectures using Google Meet, Zoom or other programs. Here is our weekly schedule for video conferencing.

Some teachers may also assign units of study from Edpuzzle, Khan Academy, Edgenuity, IXL, or other web-based platforms. Check the links below for access to those pages. Click here for more CVHS Online Resources for Distance Learning.

Please make sure that students are checking their school email addresses. They will need to be checking them daily. All electronic information will be shared using CVUSD student email addresses. Contact your House Office if you or your student need support. For any other technical assistance, please fill out this form and Mr. Baker will contact you.
