Velio (Al) Bronzini was born in Oakland to Italian immigrants and vividly recalls the devastating restrictions placed on his family and many others during WWII. He lives in Castro Valley. 

Hiroshi Shimizu was born in a terrible place that the U.S. Government called the "Central Utah Relocation Center" in 1943. His San Francisco family was later sent to the Tule Lake Segregation Center in California.
