Hi Everyone! My name is Katy McGuire, and I’m really excited to be the social work intern at Canyon Middle School this year (2025–2026). I graduated from CSUEB with a degree in Human Development in 2018, and now I’m back working on my Master of Social Work. I’m also a middle school parent, so I know firsthand how fun, challenging, and full of energy these years can be—which is why I love working with middle schoolers! Outside of school, I enjoy camping, golfing, and playing games with my family. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and having a great year together!

Hi! Thank you for your interest in the Wellness Center. My name is Augie and I am a Master's in Social Work student at CSU East Bay. I am very excited to be supporting students and families at Canyon Middle School for the 2025-26 school year. My bachelor's degree is in Feminist Studies from UCSB, and I look forward to continuing inclusivity and compassion as ethics in my work at Canyon. In my free time I love to read comics, garden, meditate, and spend time with my cat, Princess Diana. Thank you for welcoming me into your community!
