While brainstorming we wrote down every idea that came to mind and drew out designs, slowly narrowing down what we wanted our product to look like. All of our designs included three trash bins and an automatic sorter but through each variant of our design the size, shape, and different functions changed. We put six designs into a design matrix and ended up with our final design, which rated the highest out of our requirements. It was the right size, the most efficient, and could be easily installed.
