EXPLORE: eBooks, audiobooks, read alongs -- see what’s popular, available, or new.
Popular Subjects (or Explore all subjects) -- use this to browse if you are not sure what you want.
“Search for a book...” magnifying glass in upper left corner is where you can type in title, author, or keyword if you are looking for something specific. When you get the search results, you can:
Read sample -- Please sample first so you can read part of the eBook to make sure you want to borrow it. Some eBooks have metered access by number of checkouts, so don’t waste a checkout if you don’t like the eBook. Also, if you check out and return too many titles within a short period of time, you will not be allowed to check out for a few days.
Borrow -- if the eBook is available. Checkout limit is 3 eBooks, lending period is 14 days. Note: Currently, elementary students are only allowed to check out books designated Juvenile, not YA or adult.
Place hold -- if the eBook is checked out.
SHELF-- lists the eBooks you borrowed and when they are due. Options -- Open Book to read, Renew (only if no holds), or Return (if you do nothing, the eBook will automatically be returned when it is due, but the sooner you return it, the sooner others can borrow it).
ME-- Personal statistics for eBook usage.
