Resources

Math ~ Eureka Math Module materials:

  1. Students can log into their accounts on Zearn.org to access videos and practice problems that are aligned with the Eureka Math chapters.
  2. For each Math Module, please access the subpages from the drop down menu on this page (Resources). A variety of resources are available:
  • Tip Sheets: Designed by Eureka Math to provide parents with module-by-module guidance for supporting your child’s study of math.
  • Homework Helpers: Homework Helpers provides step-by-step explanations of how (and why!) to work problems similar to those found in Eureka Math homework assignments. (They don’t provide answers to the assigned exercise, as we want the students to work the problems themselves.)
  • Math News: Newsletters created to give parents and students a better understanding of the math concepts found in the Eureka Math curriculum taught in the classroom. These newsletters are organized by Module, and then by Topics.

Please also remember that videos of our math lessons are available on the Students section of our website.

Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Math Resources:

Please visit the Cupertino Union School District Instructional Services Parent LiveBinder. The purpose of this binder is to communicate with you about current information and resources that will support your understanding of the transition to the CCSS in Mathematics. The district will continually update important information that we receive at both the state and district level to keep you informed. Additionally, they have included resources that will help you better understand the changes in mathematics instruction and state accountability assessments. There are also suggestions for how to support your student(s) at home as well as videos to exemplify what some of these new elements will look like in the classroom.

Reading ~ Scholastic Book Wizard: In class, students will be assessed frequently and should be reading books at their level. A letter will be sent home at the beginning of the year with your child's Guided Reading Level, following their first reading assessment. Scholastic Book Wizard's page is a convenient way to look up any book title to check its level. Once on the homepage, simply select 'Guided Reading Level' from the 'Reading Level System' drop down menu. For book lists and recommendations, please visit Scholastic's Parents Page.

Science ~ For each Science unit, please access the subpages from the drop down menu on this page (Resources).
