The sixth grade Social Studies standards cover the ancient civilizations. The Kennedy program incorporates the adopted curriculum History Alive as well as various online sources in the classroom. Work will be assigned in various methods. A majority of your work will be documented in your digital notebook when you log into the online textbook.

History Alive: The Ancient World by TCI: You will be provided a tangible copy of the textbook to take home, along with access to the online textbook. You will be using both in the class and at home. The textbooks are to be returned at the end of the year or a replacements fee will be charged.

Homework and projects will be assigned accordingly. Homework and projects will be due on the day specified by the teacher. Also, anything we do in class that you do not finish will be expected to be completed as homework.
Handouts will be posted in google classroom: Huang handouts. Also tangible copies are available in class, in the extra handouts bin. Feel free to help yourself to extra copies if you need them.
If work is turned in late, you will need to fill out a late slip form by clicking the link below.
You will be expected to study for test and quizzes. Tests and quizzes may be based on the content in your notes, classwork, group work, lectures, class discussions, and any texts we are reading through.
