Summer Orchestra Camp Information

-grade levels below indicate incoming grades

-possible second camp will be offered in August for Incoming 6th grade, 7+8 grade and 9th grade (TBA)

Date:  Week of June 2- 6 days (M-F)

8.30-10:30am- 6th grade 

Staff:  Kelsey Dewar, Victoria Sanguinetti, Lisa Volle, and Allison Chang

The incoming 6th grade orchestra camp is designed to give students an opportunity to explore different repertoire and to encourage them to maintain and expand their performance skills through the summer in preparation for the year ahead!  Students will play their instruments every day of the camp as they explore new solo, ensemble and technique repertoire.  

This camp will take place June 2-6 from 8.30-9.30am in the orchestra room (Rm. 610) at Wheaton North High School and taught by Kelsey Dewar, Victoria Sanguinetti, Lisa Volle, and Allison Chang, with the assistance of current WNHS orchestra students.  Students may be dropped off or picked up from Door 15 (back of the school by the Morse Rd. entrance).  Please email Grace Mayell with any questions:  grace.mayell@cusd200.org

10.30-11.30am- 7th and 8th grade orchestra

The incoming 7 & 8th grade intermediate orchestra camp is designed to give students an opportunity to explore different repertoire and to encourage them to maintain and expand their performance skills through the summer in preparation for the year ahead!  Students will play their instruments every day of the camp as they explore new solo, ensemble and technique repertoire.  Students will also learn how to look up repertoire using online resources and receive tutoring from current high school musicians.  

This camp will take place June 2-6  from 10.30-11.30am in the orchestra room (Rm. 610) at Wheaton North High School and taught by Kelsey Dewar, Victoria Sanguinetti, Lisa Volle, and Allison Chang. The high school orchestra camp is designed to give students an opportunity to explore chamber music to encourage them to maintain and expand their playing skills through the summer in preparation for the year ahead!  Students will play their instruments every day of the camp as they explore chamber music repertoire.  This camp will take place June 2-6  from 10:30-11:30am in the orchestra room (Rm. 610) at Wheaton North High School and taught by Grace Mayell and Allison Chang.  Students may be dropped off or picked up from Door 15 (back of the school by the Morse Rd. entrance).  *Please email Grace Mayell with any questions:  grace.mayell@cusd200.org
