Important Dates

Semester 1

September 10- ILMEA- audition excerpt information released by 12pm

September 16- ILMEA- last day to sign up to audition

September 30- ILMEA video auditions due ($11 submission, $10 for audition fee and $1 to help with participating school fee)

October 14- ILMEA Composition Contest entries due ($15/submission)

October 14- ILMEA Future Music Educators nominations due (no entry fee)

October 22- Fall Concert, 7pm, WNHS, Taylor Auditorium, call time 6.30pm to the orchestra room

November 8- ILMEA Festival Concert, Time TBD, Dundee Crown High School (1500 Kings Rd, Carpentersville, IL 60110) ($35/student)

December 3- Concerto/Aria Competition Auditions, WNHS, Orchestra room- 610 ($25/student plus personal accompanist fees)

December 15 - Holiday Concert rehearsal, Wheaton College Edman Chapel, more information to follow

December 16- Holiday Concert, 7pm, Wheaton College Edman Chapel, call time 6pm

December 17- Patron of the Arts assignment due

Semester 2

January 15- 8th Grade Orchestra Step-up Day at WNHS

January 28-31- ILMEA All-State Festival, Peoria, IL ($30/student)

February- Musical Pit rehearsals begin (personnel/musicians TBA)

February 3-4- Fall 2026 auditions

February 17- String Orchestra Concerto Rehearsal, 7:30-8:30pm, WNHS Taylor Auditorium *if needed*

February 18- String Orchestra Concerto/Aria and Orchestra Collaboration Concert, 6pm, WNHS, Taylor Auditorium, call time 6:30pm to the orchestra room

February 20-21- Orchestra Tour!!!

March 25- Masterwork Concert, including Concerto/Aria Competition Honorable Mention Winners 7pm, WNHS, Taylor Auditorium, call time 6:30pm to the orchestra room

May 13- Spring Orchestra Concert, 7pm, WNHS, Taylor Auditorium, call time 6:30pm to the orchestra room

May 23- 10AM Graduation, College of DuPage Fieldhouse, next year's Sinfonia 2 orchestra and volunteers only, not including incoming freshmen. Call time 7:30am to the orchestra room

May 28- Patron of the Arts assignment due
