💁Female Inequality😎

By Reet Gohar

Do you think it’s OK to use phrases like “You throw like a girl” or “You run like a girl”? I do NOT. This is just unfair. I know people will be thinking right about now in their heads that ‘life isn’t fair.’, but this is different. Lots of people think that boys are better at everything than girls. This is not true! People, science even shows that a woman’s organized brain is more likely to succeed - in things like flying helicopters or airplanes and getting good jobs - than boys are. So why try to deny science? In this article, my points of argument are: Females should be treated the same as males, Malala Yousafzai, and how do we combat this whole shabang of inequality. Readers ready. Get set. READ.

Inequality is plaguing every place on Earth. One of the main ones is female inequality. However, we must defy it. Females should be treated the same as males. This HAS to happen if we are going to go to school together and collaborate. I mean if mature adults can do it, then so can the kids. I bet Bill Gates has A TON of co-workers who are women. Does he have any problems? NO. Look at our own school. In the pacer test, males have to 65 to get all 20 points and females only have to do 60. I bet some girls are okay with this because they can run less for the same amount. Believe me, I HATE the pacer but that doesn’t mean I want to be treated differently than boys. Some people -who think females are worse than males are at doing this but that is NOT true. One of my best friends got 67 on the pacer and was the second to last person standing. It’s like, if you’re a female, you are automatically placed in a category that has a bold heading of “Hey, don’t include me in fun things because I’m a female”! Males think that females only like talking about clothes and how we look. That doesn’t mean that is ALL that we talk about. Some of us like other things like basketball or wrestling.

This paragraph is about a GREAT role model who defied female inequality. MALALA YOUSAFZAI. She was born on July 12th, 1997 in a village in Pakistan. She is still alive today (22 years old). I bet that right now as you read this, she is striving to give kids an education all around the world. Oh, I almost forgot. She is also a fanatic on female rights. When she was eleven, the terrorist group called the Taliban came to her village and started bombing girls school, killing thousands in the process. They had said she couldn’t go to school because she is a girl. She protested (her favorite place on Earth is school). Malala spoke out against this throughout her childhood starting at age eleven. Malala is famous because at age fifteen, on a bus ride home, a Taliban gunman came and entered the vehicle. He spoket, “Which one is Malala?” Her peers all looked at her cautiously and the gunman took his aim. That day fifteen year old Malala Yousafzai was flown to Birmingham Hospital in England because of a severe shot to her right temple. Also, she is the youngest person to receive a Nobel Peace Prize a seventeen years old. As she became older, she started Malala Fund. This is an organization to help build schools for children. See, what did I tell you? She is a GREAT role model.

In conclusion, “How to combat the whole shabang of female inequality.” The answer to that is simple. You just have to do it. What I mean is that you just have to forget what you think about females. You have to think twice. You have to meet them. I’m not saying become boyfriend and girlfriend. Just TALK to them in the halls or something. This is how you combat. Trust me.

So are ever going to use those phrases stated at the beginning again? Anyways, I hope you liked my article. For the next few issues I will be writing about a great superhero. Thank you and goodnight.
