Rubber Soul Review

by Reece Shautz

Side One

1.”Drive my car”

A great song to start of the album with light hearted song the piano is great a guitar

2.”Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)”

The guitar is great with amazing vocals.

3.”you won’t see me”

Paul has some great vocals and the backup vocals are amazing.

4.”Nowhere Man”

The vocals are great and guitar also the drums are great. The name “Nowhere Man” makes you want to listen to it. The line “nowhere man the world is at your command” is clever.

5.”Think for yourself”

The electric guitar and drum are great. This is also one of two George wrote by himself.

6.”The Word”

The piano is great. The bass riff is one of the best bass riffs ever. It is also one of my personal favorite songs because of the simple but wonderful drums.

7.”Michelle”

The opening lyrics are the only time the lyrics comes up in the song. The guitar is great and great vocals by Paul.

Side Two

1.”What goes on”

The guitar is great. The vocals by Ringo contrast well between Paul and John.

2.”Girl”

The opening lyric “Is anybody going to listen to my story?” pulls you in. The guitar is amazing.

3.”I’m looking through you”

This song is one of my favorite songs to play on guitar. The story behind it is Paul wrote it going trough problems with his girlfriend, Jane Asher.

4.”In my life”

A soft upbeat song.

5.”Wait “

The vocals are great and the lyrics with the electric guitar compliment to John’s vocals and the maracas.

6.”If I needed someone”

This is the other song solely written by George. He shows off his great vocals.

7.”Run for your life”

One of the best guitar riffs ever in Beatles history. This is my favorites one the album and one of my favorite songs to listen to. A perfect way to to end the album.
