Through the USDA and the CoronaVirus Food Assistance Program, a USDA mixed box of wholesome Prairie Farms dairy products consisting of 2 one-gallon jugs of 2% milk, 2 14-ounce containers of premium chocolate milk, 2 14-ounce containers strawberry milk, 1 16-ounce container of french onion dip, 1 16-ounce container of sour cream, 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese or 1 block of baby swiss cheese, and 1 24-ounce container of small curd cottage cheese. There will be 1,056 boxes of dairy products.

Also, there will be a trailer load of USDA farm-fresh vegetables of 1500 boxes.

This is a service provided through a partnership between USDA (CFAP), Prairie Farms, and The Kentucky Dairy Development Council

This will be a drive-through service where patrons will remain in their vehicle and the products will be loaded by local community volunteers and dairy industry employees. Social distancing guidelines and PPE guidelines will be practiced to ensure the safety of the patrons and workers.

The dairy products and vegetables can be picked up at the Cumberland County Elementary School, 150 Glasgow Road, Burkesville, KY. The distribution will begin at 9:00 AM CDT on Thursday, September 10, and continue as long as supply lasts.

Every Tuesday at Each School from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program provides a benefits card families can use to buy food to replace free school breakfast and lunch while schools are closed. Program enrollment is automatic for children already receiving SNAP (formerly known as food stamps), TANF, Kinship Care, and Medicaid.

Households with children not enrolled in these assistance programs must apply for P-EBT benefits at benefind.ky.gov . Applications will be taken from June 1, 2020 through August 31, 2020.
