Roan is the son of Renata Heinsen and Joe Peterson. After graduation Roan plans to attend Ivy Tech and study Cyber Security. 

During his time at Culver Roan was involved in Soccer, Basketball and Cross Country. Roan recognized Mr. Klinge as his favorite teacher and History as his favorite subject. When asked what his favorite memory was at Culver he said "Winning the Golden Plunger" at Fall Bonanza.
