Bridging
In this annual youth and young adult-led worship, we celebrate the transition between the youth and young adult communities and recognize those moving out of the young adult age group.
Bridging events are wonderful rituals created to welcome youth who are 17-19 into the young adult community, offering opportunities for youth and young adults to connect and get to know one another.
Advisors who are within the YA age range (25-35) are also welcome to attend these events. Youth who will be bridging this year are encouraged to attend at least one of the social events with YAs below.
Youth and advisors can register for all of these events on the CazUUm registration form.
Events for Bridging Youth
Thursday 8:00-9:30 pm ET - Young Adult Opening Circle
The day before CazUUm begins, bridging youth and young adult-aged advisors are invited to the opening Young Adult Gathering. Come hang out and get to know others in the YA community!
Saturday 5:30-6:15 pm ET - Get-to-know-you Games
Another opportunity for bridging youth (17-19) and young adults to get to know each other through some fun and games!
Saturday 6:30-7:30 pm ET - Bridging Worship and Ceremony
Bridging is a symbol of the transition from youth to young adult, and is a way for young adults to welcome newcomers to their community. Any youth who are 17 - 19 years old may 'bridge' in this service. You are welcome to bridge more than once!
Junior youth (12-13 year olds) may also bridge into youth community, and young adults who have reached the age of 35 may wish to bridge out of young adulthood. If you would like to be recognized in either of these ways, reach out to casey@cuc.ca.
Special guests of bridgers and other members of our wider UU community are all welcome to attend this special event.
Multigenerational events
Gathering with other Canadian UUs of all ages is a very special part of CazUUm. There are several different multigen events throughout the weekend that youth and advisors will participate in. All ages are warmly invited to join these events.
Saturday, May 15, 5 pm PT | 6 pm MT | 7 pm CT | 8 pm ET | 9 pm AT (1.5 hours)
The Lighter Side Comedy Night features comedy in the form of music, storytelling, poetry, spoken word and jokes from UUs of all ages.
We are inviting UUs of all ages to sign up to share their funny talent (of up to 5 minutes) by Saturday, May 1st, at 8 pm PT | 9 pm MT | 10 pm CT | 11 pm ET| 12 am AT

Sunday Mutigen Worship: A wonderful conference tradition, the Sunday Worship service brings together Canadian U*Us of all ages for a beautiful, uplifting and spiritual reflection on our conference theme, "Sustaining Our Light."
