Description:
The Admission Summer Fellow is a select student position within the office of Undergraduate Admission. All applicants must be current undergraduate students in good standing at The Catholic University of America. Major responsibilities include giving tours, assisting and directing visitors, participating in student panels, event set up and break down, occasionally covering the front desk, and other administrative duties as assigned by staff. All applicants must fill out the following application, and complete an interview in order to be considered.
Summer Camp Counselors and Drama Instructors
Moonlit Wings Productions is the leading producer of theater-for-youth in Fairfax County, VA, right outside of Washington DC, with award-winning Performing Arts programs for kids ages 7-14 and teens ages 14-18.

Our Drama Instructors/Camp Counselors work seasonally and part-time to teach at various venues in Fairfax County. Classes run up to 7 weeks and meet once a week with a presentation for family and friends on the final class. Seasonal camps focus to put on a play and are offered during student holidays (winter break, spring break and summer).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned using provided materials and program framework.
Prepare lessons in acting, improvisation, and theatre arts.
Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflects accommodation for individual needs of students assigned.
Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the student code.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
Manage student behavior in the classroom and administer discipline according to board policies, regulations, and IEP.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents.
Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
Participate in the district staff development program.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
POSITION DETAILS:
Job Type: Contract (1099).
Program materials/scripts will be provided.
Must be able to commute and self-transport to programs in Fairfax County, VA.
EXPERIENCE:
teaching or childcare: 1 year min. (Required)
performing arts or theatre: 1 year min. (Required)

Senior Counselor Job Description
Camp St. Charles is a catholic, overnight summer camp and retreat center located in Southern Maryland. Our beautiful water front location is an ideal setting for our summer camp program and weekend events. Camp St. Charles was established in 1952 as a boys' camp and now offers summer adventures to both boys and girls ages 6 to 13 years old.
Being a counselor at Camp St Charles is one of the most challenging and rewarding jobs you will ever have. Year after year we hear from alumni staff how much they valued their time spent at camp. Working at camp will provide you with invaluable leadership, problem solving, decisions making, and communication skills. To fill these important roles we are looking for dynamic leaders who can also be a part of a team atmosphere. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Working in a team environment, taking direction from leadership, and communication well with staff and campers for the benefit of camp.
-Leading and assisting with a wide range of activities including: swimming, canoeing, escape room, stand-up paddleboarding, camping, tubing, ceramics, team sports, archery, riflery, camp fires, environmental education, high and low ropes, and horseback riding.
-Be a role model, all counselors are role models for our campers, we expect you to put the campers first, and always have the mission of camp in mind.
-Potentially be assigned to a team of campers with whom you help at meals, and at programs.
-Working and living in cabins, fostering a nurturing and comforting environment for our campers.
-Be willing to do many different tasks with enthusiasm. Be willing to problem solve and provide solutions.
-Be a steward and an advocate for camp.
-Support and work with the leadership structure at camp, including the director, assistant director, and, leadership team.
-Lead and participate in daily devotionals and prayer times.
-Live on site for our summer season.
