Objective: To train students in organization skills, time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self – motivation, analytical thinking, attention to detail etc.
Outcome: Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized a Cultural program - Chainika on February 18, 2023. For which Life skills cell was allotted with registration wok. 14 events were conducted,9 On stage events, and 5 offstage events. On-stage events registration was done in the lounge and for Off-stage events, registration was done near the T. Thomas auditorium.
For each event, two to four volunteers were allotted. Each was allotted with different work like writing, taking photographs, distributing lots, collecting money, taking Xerox, and giving it to the announcement desk and certificate writing desk. Around 40 volunteers took part. The colourful tokens for participants and also for volunteers were prepared by the Life Skills Cell volunteers. The registration work began at 8:30 AM. Many students from different colleges participated.
Through this work, the students were able to learn skills like Leadership, Teamwork, Coordination, Critical thinking, money management, problem-solving, etc.

Objective: To celebrate Pongal festival with a touch a tradition and create valuable memories for the students.
The Bullock cart and Ferris wheel has been brought to the college and made available for all the students to ride on it. The bullock cart's entry into the college was warmly welcomed by all the students. There were entry fees collected from the students to ride it. Many students have actively participated.
Feedback: Student have been really enjoyed and they have said the college have recollected their childhood days, they have thanked a lot.

This competition was conducted on 11/11/2022 - Online mode. The students were asked to create a meme on the topic Animals. The results of the students were very distinct and different from each other. Some of them incorporated animal pictures to represent normal life and vice versa. This competition has enlightened the thinking of the students.
The rules and regulations and the mode of judgement were mentioned with the invitation.

Objective: To provide self defence training.
The Members of Life skills cell had organised self-defence Silambam training for the students. The students have participated with a motive of getting some knowledge about self defence and to protect themselves. The trainer has experience of more than 15 years in this field and taught many different things and some basics of Silambattam. The trainer has provided silambam sticks to everyone and taught how to respect them. It can be use as defence. The students were very enthusiastic and started to get a grip on the lesson taught. This activity was much appreciated among the students.

Objective:To protect the other beings around us and to treat them with respect.
The members of Life Skills Cell have conducted a drive for feeding the stray. The areas covered were Peramabur, Ayanavaram,Periyar Nagar,Madhavaram, etc., The students have actively participated and fed many strays. Stray dogs guard our homes and streets with no condition; they take away our worries for the few moments we spend with them, and above all, they teach each the pure joy of being grateful for the small things in life. Thus, we should show our gratitude to them by feeding them. The students fed many strays such as street dogs, cats, crows, dove etc. It is a step for building a sound ecosystem where every being interacts with each other.

Objective: To share the positive energy on Teachers Day.
Teachers' Day in India is celebrated every year on 5th of September to mark the birthday of our second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In the CTTE campus the students have celebrated Teachers Day in a unique way, each department had a color themed outfits and the college was filled with happiness. To enhance this atmosphere, the members of Life Skills Cell had arranged for a cake cutting ceremony, Principal mam, Dr.S.Sridevi and Vice principal mam were invited for cutting the cake on behalf of all the teachers . All the students have encouraged the teachers with their claps.
Studies state that foods that have a high percentage of carbohydrates help your body increase the levels of the feel-good hormones (serotonin). Tucking into a plate of your favourite cake improves your mind and body instantly. The cake was eggless which made all the teachers to enjoy it without any hesitation. The cake cutting was a surprise event for all the teachers and it made it more special.

Objective: TO REPRESENT THE UNITY AND PATRIOTISM
Students of CTTE celebrated the Indian Independence Day with various inspiring activities. The Members of Life Skills Cell had created a chart formation of the Indian National Flag. Tricolored-National Flag of India with the top band is of Saffron colour, indicating the strength and courage of the country. The white middle band indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. The last band is green in colour shows the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land. The National Flag formed in the CTTE campus represents the symbol of independent women with strength and courage who always follows the path of truth and peace and make our country more fertile.
