The College Citizen Consumer Club in association with Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department , Government of Tamilnadu celebrated the National Consumer Day & World Consumer Rights Day on 05.04.2023. Several Inter-Collegiate competitions were conducted for students to showcase their Knowledge & Talents about Consumer Awareness. Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department , Government of Tamilnadu sanctioned a fund of Rs.25,000 for the smooth completion of the event.

The Tamilnadu Civil Supplies Corporation & Civil Supply & Consumer Protection Department - Government of Tamilnadu in collaboration with the Citizen Consumer Club conducted an awareness program on Fortified Rice. Officials from these departments organized various competitions including quiz competitions in which the students took part actively and won prizes. It was a very useful session.
Outcomes:
Students actively participated in activities held and learnt about health and good way of living.
The Citizen Consumer Club of our College in collaboration with CAG (Citizen Consumer & Civil action group) representative of the telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI) organized a consumer awareness programme on telecom services on January 10, 2023. More than 150 students, Parents and Staff participated in the event . The parents and students cleared their doubts regarding the telecom services. Around 200 students benefitted by this awareness program. Refreshments were provided by CAG .

Description:
Our College Citizen Consumer club in association with Tamilnadu Skill Development Corporation conducted an outreach programme on consumerism at Thirukandalam on 23.12.22. Mrs. Angeljeearani of Ooviyaas School of Design and Fine Arts, Coordinator for skill training had also joined us in the camp. Students of C.T.T.E. trained the village women by demonstrating things and taught them all the techniques of doing it. More than 90 participants benefited through this camp.

The National Consumer Day was organized by the Citizen Consumer Club of our college in association with Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department & CAG (Citizen Consumer And Civic Action Group). To commemorate the National Consumer Rights Day. Many competitions were conducted related to Consumer awareness Topics to Colleges in Chennai. Many students from different colleges participated in the Competitions and they exhibited their talents.
CAG sponsored cash prize for winners. Around 150 students won certificates and prizes. The Chief Guests of the day gave away the Prizes.

The students of our club organised a Consumer Awareness pamphlet distribution Programme on the occasion of World Literacy Day. Consumer Awareness Pamphlets contains the messages of Consumer Rights and Duties. 500 pamphlets were distributed to the public residing near the college. Erukanchery, Moolakadai, Madumanagar, Kodungaiyur. More than 30 students participated in this awareness programme.

The students got awareness through our program. The members of CC Club asked interactive questions about consumer awareness and demonstrated adulteration in Food products. Our students performed awareness Villupattu on Consumer Rights & Duties. Near 400 Higher secondary school students benefited in this programme.

Citizen Consumer Club (CCC) organised an Orientation program on “consumerism.” The session conveyed the purpose of spreading the awareness about consumer rights amongst all consumer segments and to help consumers get justice when affected.

To bring awareness and realization about duties and responsibilities as Citizens of India.
To provide complete and adequate knowledge to the customer
