Our college Citizen Consumer Club has organized an Out reach program on 19th April 2022, When to Don Bosco Boys Matriculation School, Perambur. Totally 30 students and 1 Staff member conducted with grand success on the above 3 events students. All the 8th and 9th class students were able to gain knowledge about awareness on the above topics.
Our college citizen consumer club organized a street play and Student forum to commemorate National Consumer Rights Day 2022. The main purpose to conduct this program is to educate the students about basic Consumer Rights and also about Consumer Day history. The program was held under the guidance of the faculty coordinator Dr. J. Valli, Assistant professor -Department of Tamil. Students from different departments took part and actively participated in the above events.
Objective:
● To create awareness among the students of different colleges.
● To gain an experience for the students.
● To establish the talents of the club.
Outcome of the activity:
The participants were able to gain experience and knowledge.

The participants were able to gain experience and knowledge on Consumer Protection Act 2019, Food Safety and Standards Regulation Act 2011 and Sustainable Consumption, Misleading Advertisement.
Our college Citizen Consumer Club has organized an E-Quiz on World Science Day 2022 conducted on 28th February 2022 through virtual mode and we sent a competition link to our college fellow mates, 30 students actively participated between 9 am to 5 pm.

Our college ‘Citizen Consumer Club’ organised an international webinar on the topic ‘Awakening the Youth Power’ to commemorate National Youth Day 2022. The chief guest of the webinar Mr. Kumaraselvam Arumugam, Poet and Social Activist Sydney in Australia, gave an enthusiastic speech about the importance of the Tamil language and its powers. The Students of the club had a very interactive session with the chief guest and also were able to learn a lot of Tamil riddles that were discovered by the chief guest. All the students learned a lot of knowledge on Tamil poems and their poets. The program was under the guidance of the faculty coordinator Dr. J. Valli, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil. Forty students participated in the webinar.

Our college ‘Citizen Consumer Club’ in association with the Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, celebrated ‘National Consumer Day 2021.’ The chief guests of the event shared a few words about National Consumer Day’s history and its importance. The student coordinator N. Salma Khatoon from III B.Com General presented an activity report for 2021. In this celebration, winners of intra-collegiate competitions performed their winning work and the winners of inter-collegiate competitions were invited and awarded cash prizes by the chief guests at the end of the program.
Planning of programs was held from 1st December 2021 to 10th December 2021. The program was held under the guidance of the Faculty Coordinator Dr. J. Valli, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil.

Our college Citizen Consumer Club Faculty coordinator Dr. J. Valli encouraged all students to share the presentations and discuss about the topic. Totally 5 students discussed using Powerpoint presentation and others shared their knowledge in the discussion. All the students were able to gain knowledge and had an enthusiastic meeting. The discussion ended with a vote of thanks delivered by P.K.Jaishree of II B.Com General. Forty- One Students actively participated.

Our college Citizen Consumer Club has presented an awareness program in collaboration with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan club and villupattu club at St. Joseph Matriculation Higher Secondary School. The program began with a villupattu then a street play performed by unnat Bharat Abhiyan club and a student from Psychology Department gave a psychological oratorical about a normal student’s stressful life in this pandemic situation. Next Citizen consumer club performed food adulteration activities in the products like milk and red chilli powder. Students enthusiastically cooperated, learned about adulteration in food and gave excellent feedback about the awareness program. Twenty-Nine Students actively participated.

Our college Citizen Consumer Club organized a webinar on 20th September 2021 in the topic consumer laws. The Guest speaker Mrs. S.Saroja, spoke about the Consumer Laws and its importance, different consumer Acts etc., Faculty coordinator of CC Club Dr. J.Valli and student coordinator N. Salma khatoon of III B.Com G welcomed the gathering.
Our college ‘Citizen Consumer Club’ in collaboration with FEDCOT India organised an E-Quiz on 18th August 2021 through the Google form. The main planning quiz is to provide a certain amount of knowledge to the students and to make them aware of Consumer Protection Act. A total of one hundred and twenty-nine students actively participated in the quiz.

Our college ‘Citizen Consumer Club’ in collaboration with FEDCOT India organised a webinar on 22nd July 2021 through Google Meet. Mr. M. Selvaraj, Chairman FEDCOT India, retired Defence Civilian Officer; Government of India was the chief guest for the webinar. The speaker of the webinar spoke about common Consumer Rights and his/her duties. He shared all his past experiences and the circumstances that he had come across and also answered all the queries of students. There were forty-five students who participated in the webinar. Dr. J. Valli, faculty Coordinator and P. K. Jaishree of II B.Com G welcomed the gathering. B. Rakshana of II B.Com A&F delivered the vote of thanks.

R., Assistant Professor, Psychologist and Co-founder of the Soul Space Counselling Services was the chief guest for the webinar. The speaker of the webinar spoke about the facts and importance of Covid vaccine and gave solutions for how to answer Covid psychic patients. She also answered all the queries of the students. There were forty students who had participated in the webinar. Dr. J. Valli, Faculty Coordinator and K. Rajakaleeshwari of III B.Com G Welcomed the Gathering. J. Uma Mageshwari of III B.Com G. gave a vote of thanks.
