Student Expectations

Each School Day

• Check Google Classrooms at the start of each school day as scheduled

  • Follow student PowerSchool schedule for each school day

  • Follow the CTECS cycle calendar for A & B cycle

• Engage in scheduled classes/assignments for approximately 30 minutes each class

• Complete all assignments assigned by teachers within the communicated timeframes

• Utilize teacher feedback on assignments

• If possible, attend any Virtual Contact Sessions with your teacher (Google Meet)

• Share your assignments and expectations with your parents and guardians

Attendance

• Complete Exit Tickets, Discussion Posts, or other teacher assignments that will be used for tracking student attendance

Communication

• Reach out to teachers with questions or if you need support

• Communicate with teachers if you are unable to attend, engage, or complete assignments due to illness, family illness, or other unforeseen events (proactive communication will help flexibility).

• Practice your professionalism and communication skills using email and other virtual platforms

Grading

• As we phase into our first few weeks of E-learning the goal is to engage in the educational activities provided by your teachers.

• Educational activities must be completed to advance within your courses. However, the district has not finalized how grading (in the sense of letter grades) will be handled. CTECS will be providing direction on grading in the upcoming weeks.

• Practice your skills in utilizing online platforms, online resources, and e-communication tools

• Learn and complete work with honesty, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism.
