The 2024 GREAT scholars presented their summer research at the UROC summer symposium on August 9. The students shared their work with judges, community members, and other students. Congratulations to all of them for an excellent job presenting their work, and congratulations to our three students won outstanding poster awards!
Rose Miyatsu published a feature on the UCSC genomics institute webpage and UCSC news center with interviews of some of the GREAT students and their mentor. They talk about their experience with the program, and the project they worked on this summer. Check it out here!
Come learn about all the hard work the GREAT scholars got up to this summer at our research recap poster session, 12-2pm on Monday, September 11 in the Chapman courtyard. This is a great opportunity for interested applicants to learn about the research opportunities available through the GREAT program, and about the science of genomics.
