𝘾𝙃𝙈 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙝𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝; 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠-𝙩𝙤-𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨

The College of Hospitality Management (CHM) reasserted its dominance in the academic arena today, securing a back-to-back victory in the Social Research category during the “Search for the Best Undergraduate Thesis and Research Mentor Awards CY 2026.”

In a rigorous showdown across three categories—Social, Product Development/Experimental, and Technological Research—CHM stood tall against four competing colleges. Despite the stiff competition, the college’s strategic delegation of four entries (two in Social Research and two in Product Development) proved successful in maintaining their championship streak.

The trio of 𝘼𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣, 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙬𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙪 led the charge with their timely study: “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨: 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣 𝙀𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧.” Under the expert guidance of their Research Adviser, 𝙈𝙧. 𝘾𝙮𝙧𝙪𝙨 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙃. 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣, the team provided a compelling analysis of the economic challenges facing hospitality students, ultimately earning the judges' top nod for its relevance and depth.

With this victory, the CHM researchers have officially secured their spot to represent the entire campus at the University Level of the competition.

This win reinforces the college’s commitment to high-impact research, building upon the foundation of last year’s success. This victory follows in the footsteps of the previous champion, “𝙏𝙍𝙊𝙑𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙄𝘾𝙇𝙀𝙎: 𝘼 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙤 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙉𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙂𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣, 𝘾𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣,” authored by 𝙅𝙖𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧 “𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚” 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙤 under the advisement of 𝙈𝙨.
