Students who are looking for a Foundational SAE project will enhance their agriculture knowledge through virtual farming techniques both in crop production, animal production, marketing, agroforestry and more.
No outside "mods" may be used during the game, however, any mods that the game makes available to you, may be used.
Setting up in AET:
Set up as a foundational SAE project.
Learning objectives should be centered around ABS (Agribusiness Systems) but are not limited to:
ABS.01 - Apply management planning principles in AFNR businesses.
ABS.02 - Use record keeping to accomplish AFNR business objectives, manage budgets and comply with laws and regulations.
ABS.03 - Manage cash budgets, credit budgets and credit for an AFNR business using generally accepted accounting principles.
ABS.04 - Develop a business plan for a AFNR business.
ABS.05 - Use sales and marketing principles to accomplish AFNR business objectives.
Keep weekly journal entries. Your Journal Entries should include a skill area or learning objective, as well as hours played and a shareable link to your Google Sheets document.
A minimum of 1 hour per week should be spent navigating the game.
Students will need to make a copy of the google sheets document and keep accurate data and records as they navigate the game.
Cedar Springs FFA Farming Simulator SAE Record Book
The document is designed to work best with Farming Simulator 22 and newer. However, older versions may be used. This may make it harder to keep accurate records.
Students participating in the Broiler contest have the opportunity to raise 25 birds in a competitive setting. Students bring three birds to the Munsell’s Poultry Processing where they are judged on weight, uniformity, conformation as well as a project write-up. This contest gives students the opportunity to showcase their abilities in producing broilers.
Please let Mr. Willett know if you would like to participate.
