Mrs. Lindsey Heritage and Dr. Debbie Alexander, CSRA-RESA, along with Mrs. Josephine Lane, RCBOE and Mr. Irie Hentz, United Way, hosted The Basics (www.thebasics.org) event at Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School on Saturday, Sept. 10th from 10-12 pm. Over 500 Richmond County parents and children, came out to learn how to support children Birth to 5 using the Basics' principles.

 Parents were able to sign up for The Dolly Parten Imagination Library  and The Basics Insights text messaging.  A special thanks go to the many volunteers from the Richmond County School System, including Josey and Westside High School Cheerleaders for helping during this event! This event was funded by The Sandra D. Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy and Georgia Power.
