Katie Herrboldt is an innovation coach and science coordinator for the St. Cloud Area School District 742 with a passion for student-focused instruction and blended learning. She previously has served as a middle and high school science teacher for District 742 and has been with the district in her various roles for 17 years. In her current position, she serves students and teachers at Apollo, Tech, and McKinley high schools. Katie works with school staff to use new and effective methods of teaching to inspire change, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity in their students.
Katie graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in science education. She also holds a M.A. in instructional technology from Concordia University, St. Paul. Katie is also currently pursuing her educational specialist (EdS) degree and principal licensure from Concordia Univesity, St. Paul. She is a both a Google certified educator (level 2) and a Google certified administrator (level 2).
Katie is an authentic leader supporting the success of others by embracing change and innovation. She values leading with and from honor, affirming and acknowledging large and small efforts and accomplishments, acknowledging failure, promoting a forward-thinking community, and establishing trust by being who she is for her team every day.
