Description:
Planned and supported the distribution and collection of student devices at the secondary level. I worked with staff to create maintain records of devices via Google Admin and Destiny to keep better track of student devices throughout the district to reduce the amount of device loss while also organizing the setup and transport of devices for summer school activities. I also created images to deploy to devices to students (on login screens, device backgrounds, and webpages) to remind students about device collections.
Reflection:
In a one-to-one device district, some of the biggest challenges are maintaining accurate records and counts for thousands of devices while also reducing the loss of these devices to save district funds. This is why it is important to create collection procedures that make the next year's distribution easier.
Artifacts:
Examples of collection images deployed to district devices prior to collection.
Description:
HF2353 required districts to provide a way for families to identify digital tools used in the district for learning within 60 days of the start of school in 2022. In order to quickly identify tools used in such a large district, we implemented a program called LearnPlatform. This allowed us to quickly gather information on what tools teachers are using, identify where data protection agreements were needed, and create a public library for viewing of the tools for stakeholders.
Reflection:
Using the LearnPlatform technology as a way to manage our library and identify tools used by teachers that did not yet have a data privacy agreement saved our team a great deal of time. It also allowed us to provide our online resource for families quickly while still working on our other duties supporting teachers and students.

Description:
With an abundance of ECF funding available, I was able to work with our director of innovation and technology to complete an ECF funding application to purchase Chromebooks, hotspots and 5G data service for students without reliable internet access.
Reflection:
Although filling out this type of "paperwork" is repetitive and tedious it is an important part of school funding. Finding resources to help provide students with needed materials opens up other district funding to further assist our students, teachers, and staff with learning.
Activity:
Completed the online ECF funding application. Cannot be attached as an artifact due to sensitive information provided.
