The public lottery will be held during a board meeting on:
Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Results will be emailed to applicants after the lottery event.

*By submitting a Lottery Registration Form, you acknowledge that private tours are not available.

If you wish to visit the campus before accepting a seat—should your child be selected in the lottery—you must attend one of the scheduled Open House sessions to see the building in person.

Additionally, by submitting the Lottery Registration Form, you agree to familiarize yourself with Community School of Davidson during the Lottery Registration period. This preparation is important because the window to accept a seat after an offer shortens as the school year approaches, leaving you with limited time to respond. Attending Open House sessions or learning about CSD during the registration period is essential if you require more information before making your decision.

All registrants who submit a form during the open enrollment period will be admitted unless the number of registrants at the applicable grade level exceeds the available openings. In that case, a lottery will be held to determine admission. After all openings are filled, the lottery will continue to establish the order of the waitlist.

The CSD Board of Education will determine the number of openings at each grade level before the lottery.

Students may only have 1 lottery registration form submitted. Parents must select 1 grade level lottery for their child and may not enter a child in more than 1 grade level to run in the lottery. 

Only NC residents are eligible to complete a lottery registration form. If you are not a current NC resident, you must wait until you have residency to complete a form for your child.

LOTTERY REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Online Lottery Registration – This is the preferred method due to the large volume of registration forms received. Paper Registration: If needed, you can pick up a paper copy of our Lottery Registration Form for the 2026-27 School Year at either our High School campus or K-7 School campus.

• A confirmation email will be sent to the address you provide on the registration form shortly after submission. If you do not receive this email, your registration was not successfully submitted, and your child will not be entered into the lottery.

• In some cases, confirmation emails may be filtered into your spam or junk folder, so please check there first. If you still don’t see it, contact us at enrollment@csdspartans.org for assistance.

Qualifying Student Registration - REGISTRATION AS A QUALIFYING STUDENT IS OPTIONAL

Under the revised CSD Lottery Policy, the CSD Board will determine the number of lottery openings reserved for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, under the National School Lunch Program ("Qualifying Students"). 

Community School of Davidson does not conduct a separate lottery for Qualifying Students. These applicants will be included in the general lottery and may be eligible for priority admission status. Families wishing to be considered under this status should check the appropriate box on the lottery registration form. Qualification standards are available on the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction website.

If your child is admitted as a Qualifying Student and would not have otherwise been admitted, you will be required to provide proof of income demonstrating eligibility. If your family does not meet the income requirements, your child will not be admitted. Please note that ALL custodial parents/guardians (including those with shared custody) must submit income documentation as part of this process.

Community School of Davidson offers Free and Reduced Lunch to all students who qualify for the National School Lunch Program, regardless of their method of admission.
