Our PE schedule is Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00-1:50. Students may wear their PE clothes on those days.

Please bring a rock in that fits in the palm of your hand for our attribute tests. Next week we will make applesauce. Please bring in 1-2 peeled apples (NOT CUT) to cook. I hope to make applesauce on 9/18. Thank you.

I sent in the book orders. The books should arrive in 8-10 business days.

We have finished our unit on Light and Heat Energy. Now we are studying rocks and minerals. The students will test rocks for hardness, weigh and measure them. Then we will turn them into "Pet Rocks".

The class is learning about the 10 Commandments in Religion. They have planted seeds to "grow their faith". The fourth graders are also learning to Pray the Rosary. They may bring rosary beads to school to use during prayer.

We are almost finished with "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing". Each student will make a poster depicting a scene and write a brief summary about a specific chapter. We will review main idea, characters, sequencing, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. Our next book will be "Stuart Little", by E. B. White.

In math we are working on operations and math facts. We are also doing multistep problems.
