Second Grade STEAM Challenges and the Paris Olympics
I can collaborate with my team to build background knowledge about the Olympic Games.
I can use the engineering design process to collaboratively solve problems with my team.
The Olympic Unit provided a wonderful opportunity to discuss teamwork, collaboration, success and failure, and perseverance. In addition to learning many facts about the games and the athletes, each student and team created their own Olympic Torch with a working circuit. Ask your child about this process and how they felt with each step.
