Specific Scholarships

LEAGUE Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship

Students who identify as LGBTQIA+ can apply for this scholarship and win one of five monetary awards.

Deadline: Applications accepted from January through April

"Out to Innovate" Scholarship $5000

A scholarship intended for students who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) programs. Students must identify as LGBTQ+ or be an active ally in the community.

Deadline: The first Saturday of June for 2019/2020 school year

Edward Tang Scholarship $15,000

A scholarship for students who self-identify as LGBTQIA+ and are of Asian or Pacific Islander descent. To be eligible, students must show financial need, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and graduate from a high school in specific county in California, including Alameda county.

Deadline: April 30

Earl Warren Scholarship $10,000

A scholarship awarded from the NAACP Legal Defense Fund for international or U.S. students entering law school full time at a U.S. university. To be eligible, you must show excellent character and community involvement, as well as be committed to a career in civil rights and public interest work.

Deadline: May 1

Queer Foundation Scholarship Fund $1000

This is a writing scholarship program that promotes writing essays about, by, and for queer youth. Eligible applicants will be attending college to study queer theory, including fields such as queer medical, legal, or social issues.

Deadline: Feb 14
