Breaking the stigma on mental health
Background:
Mental Health has been an issue for longer than we can remember. Our mental health can effect many different things, from as simple as our mood to as deep as our actions and relationships, however, mental health has become a bit more taboo in our society as the years went on. People have started talking less about what they're going through or are just too scared to talk about it because people either "won't believe them" or they'll "be seen as weak". This website is dedicated to not only inform people about the stigma surrounding mental health, but also to break that stigma and get people to speak out more.
Misconceptions that surround mental health
- When people suffer from Mental Health they don’t only suffer from anxiety or depression, they also suffer from other certain mental health issues that don’t relate to anxiety or depression
- Mental Illnesses can be caused by reaction to environmental stresses, genetic factors, biochemical imbalances, or a combination of these.
