Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.

Award covers 90% of unmet college costs and is calculated on the college’s Cost of Attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, personal costs, etc.), minus other grants and scholarships.

The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $48,000 to attend college over four years, a $1,000 Personal Schwab Brokerage Account, a $20,000 HSF Schwab Account to manage until graduation with all gains up to $10,000 going to the recipient, and up to $8,000 to study abroad during the second semester of the third year of college or during the summer after the third year of college.

The Home Depot Foundation's Path to Pro Scholarship offers $2000 to assist in creating the next generation of skilled trade leaders by providing scholarships to further their education. Must have focus on carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction management.

The DEWALT Trades Scholarship program is awarding up to 20 scholarships for $10,000 each to students planning to pursue full-time study at a two-year college or vocational-technical school.To apply, students must be high school seniors, graduates or undergraduates with a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), and plan to pursue a degree/certificate in trade fields such as construction, motor/power sector, mechanics or technology.
